We are approaching the one-year mark of the State’s request, and the approval of the Waiver has never been more vital to the health of New York State residents and healthcare system. In New York City, we are faced with a crisis in our healthcare delivery system, as our hospital system struggles to provide the high quality care necessary to meet the needs of our patient population. The $10 billion Waiver would not only allow the State to invest in innovative models of healthcare delivery, but it would also allow our hospitals to continue providing the care that saves the lives of our residents.
